Brandi Woosley, an OzSBI Mentee, has launched a new store on the Square in downtown West Plains: Life Phases Metaphysical Store. 

Life Phases offers a variety of products, including metaphysical books, crystals, jewelry, home decor and other items. They are located at #6 Court Square and officially opened for business on Monday, July 22 with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony to follow at a later date. 

Brandi has dreamed of opening a metaphysical shop in West Plains for many years, so when she found herself in search of a new career recently, it felt like the right time to take the leap. Together with the help of her husband, Eric, she will bring her vision to fruition with Life Phases Metaphysical Store. She has invested countless hours researching and frequenting similar businesses to gather inspiration and ideas. She also reached out to the Ozarks Small Business Incubator to work with a mentor, receiving guidance on how to start her business off on the right foot. 

While some of this process happened quickly, Brandi spent a lot of time playing the waiting game “The hardest part of the whole process was the waiting because the steps in starting a retail business have to be taken in order, so I was often waiting on one thing before I could do the next thing” she commented. Fortunately, while she was waiting, she took a tour of available commercial properties downtown during the West Plains Downtown Commercial Tour and was pleased to find the perfect location. Now that all of the paperwork, licensing, inspections, and permits have been completed, she is finally receiving inventory and bringing her vision to reality at Life Phases Metaphysical Store.
