15+ years working in and alongside tech startups and SME’s. Most recently I’ve focused my efforts on regions and communities start and grow their tech-based economies. Codefi was founded by tech entrepreneurs who partner with private and public groups to deploy an innovation ecosystem to train tech workers and entrepreneurs, build and attract software-focused companies, and create community spaces to expand the tech-based economy in rural communities. Starting as a pilot in Cape Girardeau, Missouri in late 2014, we’ve supported the launch of 80 startups who have raised $40 million in equity investments and created nearly 300 jobs. We’ve trained over 400 adults how to code and have introduced computer programming to thousands of 5th-8th grade students across the nation.
