Giving Tuesday: A day to Support your Community

On Giving Tuesday, November 30, 2021, people from around the world came together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give back. The Ozarks Small Business Incubator (OzSBI) encourages the community to take part in this international day of generosity by donating to their favorite charity, nonprofit organization, or cause. “This global generosity movement unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities. All it takes is an investment of one’s resources in a local nonprofit working to help people in poverty, children in foster care, the arts, animals and even entrepreneurs, ” said Heather Fisher, OzSBI’s CEO.

In celebration of Giving Tuesday, John and Juliet Cobb made a $10,000 donation to OzSBI for the coworking space, one of many great spaces available to startup entrepreneurs and laptop professionals at OzSBI. Fisher said, “We appreciate John and Juliet and their family Andrew, Laykin, and Daxdyn Cobb, Patrick Cobb, and Daniel Cobb for their generosity and continued support and contributions to our communities.” John and Juliet own ABC Carpet One Floor & Home and ServiceMaster of West Plains, which serves a nine county area.

OzSBI is able to use contributions from the community to expand its business development programs, train new mentors, hold workshops and trainings in its seven county service area, host manufacturing round tables, and expand its microloan program outreach. Due to state budget cuts, OzSBI does not have tax credits available, but is still accepting donations through the end of the year. For more information about donating to OzSBI, please contact Heather Fisher at 417-256-9724 or heatherfisher@ozsbi.com. Celebrate this global day of giving with OzSBI by giving back to nonprofit organizations making a difference in your community.
