Keynote Speech: Mental Fitness for Entrepreneurs in the Stress Olympics with Sarah Hill, CEO and Chief Storyteller of Healium

Sarah Hill is a 12-time mid-America Emmy award-winning TV journalist who developed Healium for herself as well as the millions of others who want to self-heal their anxiety for better sleep and human performance. As the CEO of Healium, Hill has 25 years of experience building unique media franchises. She holds two patents for biometrically-powered media, her company's mental fitness products are clinically validated in 5 peer-reviewed journals, and her immersive experiences have been viewed more than 7 million times. Hill is a former interactive TV news journalist for the NBC, ABC, & CBS affiliates in Columbia, Missouri. A national Edward R. Murrow, NAB Service to America, National Sigma Delta Chi, and award-winning TV reporter, she spent decades covering the world’s trauma in Sri Lanka, Zambia, Guatemala, Indonesia, and Congo. Healium's roots are in virtual travel for Veterans. In 2015, Hill’s team built a program called “Honor Everywhere”, which uses virtual reality and augmented reality to allow aging Veterans the opportunity to virtually visit their WWII, Vietnam, Korea, & Women’s Memorials. Hill is married with two grown children. She likes to run, do hot yoga, and visit the world's historical sites.


Ozark Innovators: 

Omar Galal - CarbonCycle and RainReserve

Omar Galal is a mechanical design engineer and and a serial entrepreneur, holding degrees in both mechanical and aeronautical engineering with an emphasis in manufacturing from Arizona State University. He has held corporate positions as a test and project design engineer in construction, automotive and aerospace industries where he designed and managed projects like the B2 Stealth Bomber bomb ejection system, Delta IV mission critical safe/arm device, and the Atlas V mission critical Liquid Rocket Booster Separation System. Omar made a permanent career transition toward entrepreneurship, dedicating himself to a mission of creating sustainable food, water and energy systems. He currently owns and operates a plastic injection molding company used to manufacture his patented rain water harvesting system, a food processing plant focusing on sustainable local food movement, and Carbon Cycle, a waste-to-energy company.

Bobby Walker - Devil's Backbone Knives

Bobby Walker has several years of experience developing and running his own business, Devil's Backbone Knives. He started forging knives several years ago in his friends garage, and eventually started his business in 2019 with the help of his wife Debbie. Bobby strives to make the highest quality knife possible for each of his customers, and takes pride in his work. He is a member of the American Bladesmith Society and the First 2020 Forged in Fire Champion. Bobby is the creator and owner of Devil's Backbone Knives and everything is 100% American Made in Dora, Missouri.


Dr. Jenny Long - Midwest Counseling & Assessment

Dr. Jenny Long is a licensed clinical psychologist and owner of Midwest Counseling and Assessment, LLC. She opened MCA in 2017 after a decade working in Community Mental Health. Her vision was to create a “boutique” therapy office which offered clients a comfortable, private setting with quicker access in our community. Dr. Long is the only active psychologist in the West Plains area and specializes in treating trauma, chronic pain and illness, anxiety, and working professional issues. She also performs numerous psychological evaluations such as IQ, adoption evaluations, and pre-op surgical clearance (for various medical procedures such as weight loss surgery, etc.) Dr. Long lives in West Plains with her husband, Rocky, and daughter, Addison. She loves dogs as much as people and enjoys reading, rearranging furniture, and swimming.

Pitch Competition:

The EPIC Pitch Competition will feature community members from the seven-county region OzSBI serves. Finalists from the April Pitch Fest will be selected to compete for cash and prizes at the EPIC Pitch Competition. 

First Place Prize: $1000 cash + 1 year coworking space at OzSBI (valued at $720) + free business mentoring for a year

Second Place Prize: $500 cash + free business mentoring for a year

Third Place Prize: $250 cash + free business mentoring for a year

Fourth Place Prize: $125 + free business mentoring for a year


COVID Innovator

National Small Business Week gives us the opportunity to highlight the impact of COVID on local entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from our seven-county area. Every day, they’re working to grow small businesses, create sustainable jobs, drive innovation and increase America’s global competitiveness. We will have an innovator speak  during the event about their journey through the pandemic.
