Effective Presentation Skills

The ability to present your ideas clearly in a professional environment is critical for your success in the workplace. Many business professionals find themselves outside their comfort zone in delivering effective presentations. This workshop will teach you how to organize your thoughts and deliver your message in a confident and coherent presentation, in addition to using visual aids and public-speaking techniques.

OzSBI does not reimburse for canceled workshops; instead, you will receive credit in the amount of the workshop cost. The credit can be applied towards other workshops or events during the same year. It will become a donation to OzSBI if not used by December 31st, 2019.

After graduating from University of Northern Iowa (UNI) with a BS in Mathematics in 1977, Brian went on to work in the airline industry for 35 years building Airline Reservation Systems.  Brian was the Chairman of the Technical Working Group of the Airline Transport Association (ATA) that built the technical requirements for Electronic Ticketing processing in the early 90's.  Brian also worked on several Baggage Handling committees for the International Air Transport Association (IATA).  Brian worked in several areas of air travel reservations (Baggage, Seat Assignment, Fuel Management, Revenue Accounting and Catering), but was recognized as an expert in Fare Quote, Pricing and Ticketing.

During his career, Brian worked for several major airlines (United, Northwest and USAirways), as well as several companies that supported airlines (Anderson Consulting/Accenture, Open Skies and Galileo Systems).  Most recently Brian worked for Google managing the Support Technical Team for their Google Travel Systems (see Google.com/flights).  This system provides Air Travel options for all domestic travel websites (i.e. American Airlines, United Airlines, Delta Airlines, Orbitz, Kayak, etc.) as well as Travel websites worldwide (Al Nippon Airways, Al Italia, Virgin Atlantic and Turkish Airways as an example).  

Brian retired to the West Plains area 4 years ago, and currently manages the rental properties that he owns with his wife Diana.  They enjoy travel, and the relaxing lifestyle of the West Plains area.
