The Ozarks Small Business Incubator (OzSBI) recently held the kickoff session of LaunchU, a microenterprise development program designed to help entrepreneurs test the feasibility of their business ideas and develop a plan to launch new ventures. Fifteen entrepreneurs spent the day at OzSBI meeting other like-minded entrepreneurs, defining their business concept, and learning resources available to test their idea. The 9 week LaunchU series is being sponsored by West Plains Bank & Trust, FundRaiser Software, and Chrys Fisher, Attorney at Law.

The Ozarks Small Business Incubator (OzSBI) has been awarded $50,000 in 50% tax credits by the Missouri Department of Economic Development. Any individual or business with a Missouri tax liability is eligible to receive the 2016 tax credits by making a donation to OzSBI. Tax credits directly reduce the donor's state taxes by 50% of the donated amount, which is in addition to the standard state and federal charitable tax deductions.

Halli King is the "new" proud owner of Great Scrubs and More. Halli started working at Great Scrubs in July 2012 and now four years has taken the reins from Sandra Exon. Halli used OzSBI's Microloan Fund as gap financing in conjunction with Community First Bank to purchase the business. Great Scrubs and More will also be participating in OzSBI's Affiliate Client program.

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) today announced that 10 Missouri small business incubators have been approved for a total of $500,000 in state tax credits under the Small Business Incubator Tax Credit program (Incubator). The tax credits will leverage $1 million for the local incubators.
